Useful items you will need on the night: Torch, bucket of water, eye protection, gloves, container of soft earth (to support certain fireworks), board (flat bottomed fireworks), suitable supports for Catherine Wheels, launchers for Rockets, portfires or other suitable lighters.

Q.How long can you keep fireworks for?
A.There is no shelf life for fireworks as long as they are stored in a cool, dry place.
Q.When can fireworks be set off?
A.Fireworks can be set off any day between the hours of 7.00am and 11.00pm, up to 12.00 midnight on November 5th and up to 1.00am on New Year’s Eve, Chinese New Year and Diwali.
Q.At what age can you purchase fireworks?
A.Fireworks cannot be sold to anyone under the age of eighteen. We recommend that proof of age is always requested.
Q.Are your fireworks safety tested?
A.All our fireworks are manufactured to the highest quality and are batch tested and conform to the latest CE safety standard.
Q.What type of fireworks can you sell?
A.You can sell Category 1 Indoor Fireworks, Category 2 small to medium garden fireworks and Category 3 large garden fireworks. Category 4 fireworks are for professional use only and cannot be purchased or stored without a special licence.
Q.Is there a limit on the amount of fireworks that can be purchased and stored?
A.You can normally store up to 250kgs of Hazard Type 4 (domestic) fireworks: however a risk assessment will need to be undertaken to evaluate the conditions and method of storage to be used prior to determining the appropriate storage weight.
Q.When can you sell fireworks?
A.The normal licence allows you to sell fireworks between 15th October and 10th November (Guy Fawkes), 26thand 31st December (New Year) and three days prior to the Chinese New Year and Diwali. An annual fireworks licence is also available.
Q.Do you need a licence to sell fireworks and if so where can I get one from?
A.You will need a licence to sell and store fireworks and this can normally be obtained from your local council.
